9/8/2016 0 Comments Observational DrawingsAt the top is picture of a glass vase that I recently drew. Luckily, we have a wonderful teacher who helped me with this project. Charcoal is definitely fun to draw with, like everything, it has pros and cons. The "pros" are that if you mess up, you just rub it back in! It's that easy, plus you don't have to completely restart your whole piece. The "cons" of working with charcoal is that it is super messy, it also makes a horrible screech when pressing down hard on a paper.
Below is one of the many warm ups that I have learned from the most. I love the grid, because it helps you figure out almost the exact position of the picture you're going to draw. Of course you don't have to draw the grid as dark as I had, but like I said, it's just a warm up.
