11/4/2016 0 Comments PrintmakingMy best. "The Howl" My worst. "The Howl" First, you want to sketch out your print on a piece of paper and make sure there's nothing on the back. Second, you're going to want totransfer it on to your block . Third, you're going to figure out what you want black and what you want white. Then after all of that, you'll begin to print and figure out how much ink and where to place it on paper. Lines My lines are mostly the wolf's fur and in the moon. I really like the texture of the moon but I would try to change my wolf and give it more of a wolf look if I could.

Was it successfull? In my opinion it was really plain, I didn't like it. What would I change? I would bring more color to the project, it's not my idea of something that's just amazing. 10/18/2016 0 Comments My Papas TruckThe picture below is me staring on my acrylic peice. The picture above is the finished peice. The picture below is the actual picture I took. What makes it importantOctober 2, 2014, I lost the greatest man in my life. He lost his battle with lung cancer, but he fought hard. This picture is so important to me because it's my happy place, being in this truck reminds me of him and I never want to let that go. 💙 Henry Mack Sweeden 💙 Most successful and changesI find the water and the sunset most successful because of how the colors blended together. I wish I could have gave the truck more life to it. I choose youI chose acrylic because I wanted a definite color. I also wanted it on canvas so I could give it to my nana for Christmas.
10/18/2016 0 Comments October 18th, 2016Costco bearThe picture above is my sketch with things that describe me. The picture below is the finished water color painting. The picture above is the picture I based my painting on. What items I used.As you can tell I added a few things in the painting itself. I have: nail polish, because I always paint my nails; A picture of my bestfriend/boyfriend; My huge bear; my phone; headphones; cookies, because who doesn't love cookies; my Xbox remote, I love to play games with my boyfriend; my blue pillow my grandma from Indonesia made for me; and last but not least balloons, they make me happy. Most successful and changesThe balloons turned out really good and I had a lot of positive comments about them. On the other hand, I would most likely change the cookies because you can't really tell what they are. I choose youSo for the medium we could choose between watercolor and acrylic. I chose watercolor because the colors tend to be more soft than acrylic.
9/15/2016 0 Comments September 15th, 2016Two-n-OneMy two in one project is a combination of a jelly fish and doughnut, which I call a Jelly Doughnut, funny huh? I had fun with the project, but if I could change anything it would be the color of the sprinkles. I wish they could of had color, I think that would of gave it a more doughnut look. As you might can tell, I used charcoal. I love charcoal because it's so easy to erase your mistakes, and trust me I messed up a lot. Water color sphereThis is one of the many warm ups that have helped me. Especially when we're doing a water color coming up in the next few weeks.
9/8/2016 0 Comments Observational DrawingsAt the top is picture of a glass vase that I recently drew. Luckily, we have a wonderful teacher who helped me with this project. Charcoal is definitely fun to draw with, like everything, it has pros and cons. The "pros" are that if you mess up, you just rub it back in! It's that easy, plus you don't have to completely restart your whole piece. The "cons" of working with charcoal is that it is super messy, it also makes a horrible screech when pressing down hard on a paper.
Below is one of the many warm ups that I have learned from the most. I love the grid, because it helps you figure out almost the exact position of the picture you're going to draw. Of course you don't have to draw the grid as dark as I had, but like I said, it's just a warm up.9/6/2016 0 Comments Artist I'm inspired by.Christopher Jobson launched in 2010, lives in Chicago, Illinois with his wife Meagan, son Caleb, and dog Mojo. Jobson works with materials such as different types of plants, rocks, fish, and so much more. Jobson was raised on a farm in Texas and also in Chicago. Jobson is a hard worker and enjoys every minute of his full-time gig. He calls this work of art " Aquascaping" that is something you don't hear everyday! Can you imagine waiting that long for a plant to grow! Go check him out at Christopher.jobs/on/. You can also find him on Instagram and Twitter. Christopher Jobson's work inspires me because of how much patience it took to fully grow the "Aquascape", whether it was a few months or even years. His work is very pleasing to the eye when you spot the little cactus or trees and little fish are swimming around them. It's a very unique style and something that you don't see everyday. I'm really glad Jobson does what he does!
